I started my nurse training in 2015. I moved from my home country, Greece, to the UK to study at the University.
I qualified as a registered nurse in 2018 and worked in a neurosurgery ward and Neuro ICU.
I then discovered my passion about taking care of patients with long-term neurological conditions and joined the MS team in Salford in 2022.
What I love about my job:
- Having my own patient caseload which fosters continuity of care. In that way I’m able to build strong relationships with my patients and support them from their original diagnosis through their journey with MS.
- Working with a wide range of patients
- The ability to go beyond the standard medical care, addressing emotional, practical, and social aspects of the condition.
Hopes for the Future:
I hope to see more research around new treatments and therapies that could potentially slow or even reverse the MS disease’s progression which would be very beneficial for our patients.
Outside of work:
I love running, travelling and spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy spending time as a cat mum to my 6-month-old kitten.
